It goes without saying that even though Philadelphia has many acute challenges, only Philadelphians are allowed to criticize Philadelphia. In fact, as hard as we are on ourselves, there is so much that is uniquely great about Philadelphia that even the most curmudgeonly resident could go on for days listing the many amazing things that happen or exist in our fine city.

Of course Building Heroes immediately agreed that making a laser cut ornament from reclaimed 2020 campaign signs to commemorate the moment that Philly was absolutely necessary. Megan and Caprice immediately leapt into prototyping and landed on the final design after numerous versions as well as considerable refinements to make sure the ornament is beautiful and durable. The resulting laser cut ornament and ribbon will look equally great on a Christmas tree, refrigerator, or hanging from the rearview mirror in your car.  

Like every product we sell, the ‘Bad Things Happen In Philadelphia’ ornaments are created by Building Heroes ages 14-75 and represent important opportunities for them to earn and learn 21st century design, fabrication, leadership, and entrepreneurship skills.
